Do you need attorneys?
This depends on the level of review and the end-result required.
most "first-cut" reviews, non-attorneys are fine. These reviews consist essentially of separating
the "keep" documents from the "trash" documents.
In the old days this first level of
review was done in-house by support staff (secretaries, paralegals, etc.). These staff members gathered the documents
together and placed them in boxes.
Today, however, most companies produce their documents on cd's. Documents on
cd's can be reviewed by attorneys, staff people, paralegals, or others.
We can discuss the options of a
review team made up of lawyers and non-lawyers.
